MICHELA RONCONI

Michela obtained her BSc in Biology and MSc in Cellular and Molecular Biology at University of Turin.

She gained an interest in the cancer research thanks to the internship she completed at the San Luigi Gonzaga Hospital, Turin (Italy), where her thesis project was focused on the genetic characterization of Philadelphia negative myeloproliferative neoplasms, through the use of innovative PNA based assays.

Her current project focuses on outlining the genetic modifications that occur from healthy to myelodysplastic syndrome to AML. Michela enjoys the collaborative nature and mutual help within the group, as well as the brilliant ideas from each member that make learning and research further stimulating.

Fun fact: Michela is passionate about motorbikes and she used to make long trips with her motorbike between Piedmont (Italy) and France.
