DR. ALLISON BOYD
Research Associate
Allison obtained her BSc in Biology & Psychology from Wilfred Laurier University, her MSc in Environmental & Life Sciences from Trent University and her PhD in Biochemistry from McMaster University. Her thesis during her undergrad focused on functional neuroscience & sensory perception. The research undertaken during her Masters focused on stress physiology & breast cancer.
Allison heads multiple projects involving acute myeloid leukemia and the bone marrow microenvironment. She is interested in applying multi-omic analyses to better understand this highly complex disease. Allison can’t find a more purposeful way to spend her time and energy and she loves being able to work alongside such talented lab members. Her goal is to continue working on original ideas to advance the field of cancer biology.
Allison loves to travel and her goal is to visit all 7 continents! Only two more to go!
