Charisa received her BSc in Honours Molecular Biology and Genetics from McMaster University in 2020. She completed her undergraduate thesis in the Bhatia lab where her project focused on the high throughput screening of novel molecules that can modulate the bone marrow microenvironment. Her project continued into her masters project where she focuses on characterizing human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in AML.

Charisa loves the supportive lab environment that promotes collaboration and creativity to drive the projects forward. One day Charisa wants to write and publish a book.
