DR. EKTA MANOCHA

Post-Doc

Ekta completed her education in Biotechnology from Dr. D. Y. Patil University, Pune. She then joined as a project fellow at School of Biotechnology, JNU and cell biology & histology lab at University of Antwerp. She received her PhD in microbiology followed by a postdoc position at University of Brescia, Italy. Ekta has also received awards like GATE-Biotechnology, NET, IISER-summer fellowship and young scientist award throughout her career.

Ekta joined the Lab in March 2022 and her project focuses on identifying the role of SUMOylation as a potential target in cancer stem cells. Her major interest is to work with angiogenic properties of cancer cells.

Ekta loves to do sports like swimming and tennis. She is passionate about traveling, learning languages, and experiencing diverse cultures.
